Accessible Archives databases are comprised of diverse 18th, 19th, and early 20th century American history primary source content, including newspapers, periodicals, and books -- eyewitness accounts of historical events, vivid descriptions of daily life, editorial observations, commerce as seen through advertisements and genealogical records are now available in a user-friendly digital environment. All newspapers and serial publications available from Accessible Archives are complete runs. Much of our content is exclusively available from Accessible Archives!
Our content is fully searchable utilizing our latest interface release. In addition, Accessible Archives re–keys each article or book to a 99% or better level. This results in more accurate search results and, perhaps most important, provides the user with clean text for the search results. All the content is available as an image and as XML TEI Lite text along with complete MARC records. We are COUNTER-compliant, including SUSHI, and offer text and data mining opportunities. Free trials and webinars are available. We have alliances with EBSCO Discovery Service, Ex Libris, OCLC WorldCat, and ProQuest's The Summon Service.
